It comes from “The Weight Escape” by Ciarrochi, Bailey and Harris (2014), a book I use a lot with clients who have difficulties with food, but this diagram can used with any decision.

Start with your challenging situation.
What is the challenging situation you are facing?
Now focus on your Inner experience. What difficult feelings, thoughts, and sensations show up in this situation?
Now ask yourself about your Values, Skills, and Strengths: What can you use to help you respond effectively to your inner experience and to the challenge you face?
